This is a post I’ve had in the making for a few months… Who knew it would be so hard to come up with 26 things of different letters that were important to me. I can’t remember whose blog I originally saw this on because it was so long ago so I do apologise. Although it took me a while, this was super fun to put together so I hope you enjoy reading it!
Pretty self-explanatory. I live in Aberdeen, Scotland and always have.
My favourite colour.
I love a cocktail! And a prosecco, a gin… I like a drink but cocktails are super fun to make or go out and enjoy.
Guilty of being a ‘disnerd’. I’ve visited Walt Disney World twice, Disneyland Paris once and I can’t wait to go back… Now booked for Summer 2019!
My eyesight is terrible. I have been wearing glasses since I was 3 years old, I’ve had two eye surgeries: one when I was 4 and one when I was 17. I’ve sported the eye patch look as a result too.
I have such great friends, I’m not always the easiest person to put up with because I can be somewhat… dramatic (they’ll all agree!) But, my friends are there for me at all times and ready to listen to my ridiculous dramas …you know who you are!
Sandy and Dusty are my two golden retrievers, the best breed of dog. I can’t imagine life without a dog.
I am obsessed with Harry Potter. The books, the films, the podcasts, the merchandise… Everything.
Nearly five years together and this man is my absolute rock. (See above about being difficult to put up with). Ian always has my back and treats me like the princess I truly am… ha!
My birth month. I feel very lucky to have a Summer birthday. I just can’t imagine a birthday BBQ in February.
I would love to be able to knit. My mum is great at knitting and has created some really cool pieces. I’d love to learn but I just don’t think I have the patience.
Bold lips are everything. My lipstick collection is pretty big and ever-expanding. I very rarely wear a boring lip.
Family means so much to me. I have such a supportive family and I wouldn’t be half the person I am today without them.
Not my strong point. I have wanted to teach for as long as I can remember so all through academy I had to work so hard to get the grades I needed for maths. Thankfully, I did but numbers seriously stress me out.
Having an opinion is nothing to be ashamed. I feel like opinionated people are always viewed negatively which I just do not agree with. I get very passionate about things and if I have an opinion, I am going to voice it.
My all time favourite sweet. They are a gift from the Gods.
I love all things sentimental and I love the messages that can be conveyed through quotes. There is always a quote for your situation whether you need to feel more motivated or whether you’re on top of the world.
Cosying up with a good book is one of my favourite past times. I have been an avid reader since I could actually read. Getting lost in a story really is something else.
I am a huge sun-worshipper. Get me on a plane, hand me a cocktail and I will lie in the sun all week. Holidays are what get me through the year.
A pot of tea. Afternoon tea. Tea and a scone. I am all about that tea life. But I do also live for coffee. Two necessities in my life.
As you all know (and are probably sick of hearing about now) I recently graduated from my undergrad. This month I am back to uni for degree number two to become a qualified teacher… Eeek!
As above, I love sun and holidays. Vatican City (okay, I’m clutching at straws… I really mean Rome) is one of my favourite holiday destinations. I visited for my 21st birthday in 2016 and fell head over heels with the place.
I have been in the same job for three years now, alongside uni. This past Summer I have been working full time hours and I lovelovelove my job. It is so rewarding and the people I work with are actual angels. Our days are not always easy but this bunch are incredibly supportive, always there for me and make me laugh when all I want to do is cry. I enjoy going to work each day and I feel so lucky and blessed for that.
A bit of a weird fact. I studied music in academy (high school) and took the subject right up to advanced higher. My second instrument was xylophone and I can play pieces up to grade 8. I have always asked for a full-size xylophone because I think it’s such a fun instrument but I’ve had no luck as of yet.
My love for all candles is huge but Yankee candles are my firm favourite! So many fragrances and the quality is incredible. Nothing better than walking into a room and being hit with a fab scent.
Okay so, I know this may be somewhat controversial but I do really enjoy visiting zoos and safari parks! I’ve always been a huge animal lover and I love hearing about the conservation work that goes on.
So… There you have it! The A-Z of me. I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know me that little bit better and I’d love to hear if we have anything in common or if you’ve also done this post!
