Long gone are the days of picking up an advent calendar for a pound in the supermarket and being content with the small piece of chocolate you’d unwrap each morning. These days you can get advent calendars containing just about anything and people go crazy for them, myself included. This post could easily have contained hundreds of advent calendars, so I’ve had to be rigorous to choose my absolute faves.

Disney Store Tsum Tsum

At £59.99 this is quite steep for an advent calendar in my opinion although I do know lots of people will be spending hundreds to get their hands on certain beauty brands. This contains 25 micro tsum tsums which are ‘top secret’. The Disney Store haven’t announced which tsum tsums they are, but they have been leaked online by people who have already bought the advent calendar. It’s very cute but I only collect certain Disney merchandise so for the price probably won’t make this purchase as much as I love it.

The Body Shop 25 Days Deluxe Advent Calendar

The Body Shop have three advent calendars this year and I’m pretty sure they did this last year too with different price points. My favourite from this year is the mid-range one at £65. All three calendars have great products in them, but I just thought this one had the most products I’d use regularly.

Edinburgh Gin Advent Calendar

This is the cutest advent calendar I’ve come across this year. Who wouldn’t want 25 gins stored in a cute wee house for the month? At £100, the price did put me off a little bit. If my maths is correct (which is rarely is) each day costs £1.25 which for a miniature gin is good value for money but £100 all at once seems a lot… Gin is definitely in this year and I would consider planning ahead and budgeting to buy this next year if they release another one.

Liz Earle 12 Days of Christmas

Liz Earle are my go-to skin care products. I am obsessed. So this is right up my street. I actually own almost all of the products that come in this set so at £66 I don’t think I’ll actually buy it. I do think it’s stunning though and knowing how great Liz Earle products are I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to try out their stuff before buying full size.

Yankee Candle 2017 Advent Book

This is the advent calendar I most want to get my hands on. I had a Yankee Candle advent calendar last year and it was just perfect. A new festive scent every day was the best little pick-me-up on a cold morning. Yankee tend to do two advent calendars but I usually prefer the slightly pricier one because they contain votives as well as tealights so the overall burn time is better. This year the advent calendar comes with a votive candle holder too which I think is fab! At £35 I think it’s really good value for money and it’s one of the only advent calendars I get total use from. There are always products in beauty advent calendars I end up not using but with candles, I burn them all. It’s rare I don’t like a Yankee scent but if it’s not my favourite I pass it over to my mum so it still gets used. This advent calendar has been on offer at Debenhams with 20% off so it may be worth shopping around if you fancy it!

YCWhich advent calendar can you not wait to pick up? Let me know in the comments!
