At the beginning of Summer I posted about having taken a blogging break due to uni stress but saying I was excited and motivated to get stuck into my blog again. This lasted for about two months before life got in the way (again). I thought having so much time on my hands over Summer would be a great thing and I’d be so productive but the opposite was true. I definitely work better and get more done, the more I have to do. Does that make sense? If I have an infinite amount of time on my hands, I waste it and don’t get anything done.

The start of Summer saw me going head first into a new job which means I am technically self-employed and while I absolutely love it, I have never been as overwhelmed as I was in those first few weeks. I’d like to think I’m in a much better head space now and in more of a routine. I go back to uni next week as well and I am really looking forward to having even more structure in my life. Not to mention, we’re in double digits for the Christmas countdown which definitely puts me in an amazing mood!

I guess the point of this post was just to let you all know, I am back! I am hopeful I will be back to regular posts, I have a few already written and some more ideas noted. Don’t get me wrong, I love a Netflix binge but I do need to forego some in order to focus on my blog more. Or, attempt to multi-task…

Welcome back to What Shona Says and thank you for reading!

  1. Absolutely nothing wrong with taking a blogging break, even if you said you were going to get back into blogging! Life has this funny way of getting in the way and changing things and that’s fine! Hope you get back into the swing of it and find a good routine (: x
