KISA’S

Kisa’s is cute wee eatery my mum and I found ourselves in last weekend when we were in Perth. I say ‘found ourselves in’, it was actually a recommendation from one of my mum’s friends. Kisa’s has been around since 2015 but has two sister restaurants, one in Kinross and one in Auchterarder, that have been around since 1992 and 2004.

The restaurant was heaving when we walked in for lunch… we took this as a great sign! The manageress on shift couldn’t have been more helpful at finding us a table quickly though. If we’re in Perth again, we’d definitely book a table. Once we were seated we had a look through the menu and genuinely struggled to make a decision! Did we want a panini, baked potato, burger, pasta, salad…? There was such a good selection and every dish sounded amazing! I’d love to have a peek at their evening menu. We both settled on a panini and although some people may consider this a boring choice, it did not disappoint. I chose a Mexican panini… think chicken fajitas in gorgeous seeded bread *insert drooling emoji here*. My mum opted for an Italian panini which boasted a variety of ham and cheese, it looked delish! The paninis were both accompanied by salad so it made me feel slightly better about demolishing thick bread and creamy filling. As it was our first visit and we weren’t sure what to expect, we also ordered a portion of chips in case we were still hungry. These were definitely not needed but absolutely gorgeous. You could tell they’d been freshly cooked which was great because there was no greasy residue you get from chips that have been sitting for a while.

Another great point about Kisa’s is their bakes! I had to head off to a work meeting but my mum enjoyed a scone and pot of tea in my absence. Being the amazing woman she is… She bought a scone for me too to eat after my meeting. It was raspberry and white chocolate and so fine!

Everything about my Kisa’s experience was excellent: it was reasonably priced, we were only about £15 for the paninis, chips and drinks; the food was great quality; the staff were so friendly and attentive; and the location was perfect for getting some shopping done!

Have you been to Kisa’s? I hope I’ve convinced you to go, if not!
